THURSDAY Symbolism | Symbolism is when an object, person or idea in literature or poetry represent something greater. It could represent an emotion, a desire, a future, etc. Recall: our activity from a couple weeks ago that included symbols that represent the United States in various ways, but also how the same symbol could be portrayed in a different way to represent a different meaning Today, you will work within your assigned groups to create physical symbols from The Giver.
